Adult Sunday School
Every Sunday morning, groups of adults meet in Sunday School classes to enhance their spiritual growth and enjoy fellowship with other Christians. Here at First United Methodist, we have classes for any demographic group, with many different class personalities and styles. For more information, please contact Rev. ALDERSGATE COUPLES - 9:30 a.m., Room 333 — A class of couples, 35 to 50 years old, some with young children. Studies focus on Christian life, relationships, and Biblical and social concerns.

CANA DISCIPLES - 9:30 a.m., Room 336 — A class of couples and singles in their mid 40s to 50s. Studies focus on Christian life, relationships, and Biblical and social concerns.

COVENANT - 9:30 a.m., Room 331 — A class of couples and singles, over 60 years of age, who are interested in applying the Christian faith to social concerns and contemporary issues.

CREATIVE COUPLES - 9:45 a.m., Room 310 — A small, friendly class of couples and singles, over 50 years of age. Some members are involved in the television ministry. Studies focus on relationship issues, Biblical topics and current social concerns.

DOWNTOWN SINGLES - 10:50 a.m., Room 340-341 — A large group of singles age 55 and above. Studies focus on issues related to singleness, Christian faith and contemporary concerns.
GENESIS COUPLES - 9:30 a.m., Room 224 — A class for young engaged or married couples with emphasis on various studies for personal growth, Biblical study annd fellowship. This class enjoys regular social events including dinners, holiday parties, sports outings and Bible studies.

GOOD NEIGHBORS - 11:00 a.m., Room 334 — A class for people over 40, with children elementary to college age, exchanging ideas on various Biblical and social issues.

IN-DEPTH BIBLE STUDY - 8:30 a.m., Room 336 — A Bible study class for couples and singles of all ages. Led by Dr. Lamar Smith.

INQUIRERS - 9:30 a.m., Room 352 — A class for people over 60 that studies various Biblical, Christian faith and contemporary issues.

JOURNEY - 9:30 a.m., Room 230— A class for young singles and young couples 22-35 – for those who have never been married and those who have been married. This group enjoys regular social events which include dinners and fun day trips and meets Sunday mornings to discuss contemporary topics.

KOINONIA - 9:30 a.m., Room 351 The Koinonia class has re-organized and is now meeting again each Sunday. The class for adults 40+ offers a varied lesson format that includes studies of the Christian faith and social issues.

LOYALTY - 9:30 a.m., Room 334 — A large class of people over 55 studies a variety of Christian faith, social and contemporary issues.
NEW HORIZON SINGLES - 9:30 a.m., Room 231 — This is a large group of single adults, ranging in age 45 to 60 years. Varied studies include lifestyle issues, the Bible, and Christian faith.
NEW PASSAGES - 11:00 a.m., Room 352 — Growing class of couples and singles ages 40 to 65; variety of studies for personal growth, psychological insights, and community/societal issues awareness.

OPEN BIBLE - 11:00 a.m., Room 321 — Open Bible meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday's in room 321. A Bible study class for singles and couples of all ages. Studies based on the "Journey Through the Bible" literature series.

PARTNERS - 9:45 a.m., Room 320 — A class for couples and singles, in their 30s and 40s. Studies focus on God's word and how to apply it to daily life. Class offers opportunities for couples, singles, and divorcees and their families to join in fellowship and social activities, sharing God's love with each other as well as our local and global communities.
SOJOURNERS - 9:30 a.m., Room 335 — An active group of couples and singles over the age of 55 who are interested in social issues, current events, and Bible study.

TRINITY FELLOWSHIP - 9:30 a.m., Room 340-341 — A class of career singles and single parents in their early 40s to late 50s . Discussions include a variety of topics from Biblical to contemporary issues.
