The Television/Media Ministry has a long and rich history in our church. Since the first broadcast of our morning worship service on Sunday, March 2, 1975, this ministry has reached out in innovative ways to our congregation, the community and beyond. Volunteers conceived, initiated, installed and sustain the television ministry. It is estimated there are almost 10,000 volunteer hours a year donated to the television ministry of this church. One of the ministry's greatest strengths is the volunteer force that helps keep it running.
The church ended its live television broadcasts on January 26, 2003. Immediately following the last television broadcast the church implemented our Internet broadcast and tape mailing programs to insure we meet the needs of our congregation. Although we no longer broadcast our services live, we still have a faithful group of volunteers who tape our 11:00 a.m. worship service for re-broadcast on Charter Community Cable in Fort Worth, the Internet and for sending tapes to our homebound church members.
